Lifting dead weight ain’t my thing!

Deadlifts are perhaps one of my favorite exercises. Not only does it give me an edge physique wise but the result are for real. You ever wonder how some dudes look so strong and thick, especially their lower backs. Flanked by the spinal column are two muscles that run up and down the length of your back. Get these muscles going by doing some good ol dumbbell deadlifts at home. Not only does this add some size to your lower back and carve out a nice ass, the strength gains will transfer to other exercises. Soon all of your lifts will improve and you can thank dumbbell deadlifts for it.

Hammer time is a thing of the past

We all gravitate to the old pair of dusty dumbbells and start to do biceps curls. Nothing wrong with it. At times, biceps need an extra push to get things going. Add serious size to your biceps by incorporating hammer dumbbell curls to your workout routines. Hammer curls are performed by grabbing two dumbbells in your hands as you would a hammer while curling the weight upwards. Maintain a strong contraction and squeeze for that extra torq at the top of the movement. Using a full ranger of motion and slow tempo is the way to go. Don’t rush this wicked bicep exercise. Most of us lack that 3D look to our arms. Also, most of us black folk have long slender muscle bellies. Hammer curls target the often neglected brachialis muscle. The brachialis is that little muscle located in between the triceps and bicep. Getting that diesel body you want is all about the details. Focus on doing exercises that separate you from the pack. The difference is in the details

Here’s some more good news. Both of these exercises show visible results in no time. You don’t have to go to a gym or spend weeks of training to see your back muscles and brachialis develop. Hitting them with good form and consistency will prove to be beneficial.
